History and today

Rauko was established in 2007 as a manufacturer of high quality furniture using high value, environmentally friendly materials.

The company’s joinery started with 10 employees and made furniture for individual orders. Initially all sales were to clients in Latvia.

By 2008 the company had completed more than 80 projects in Latvia, and employed 22 persons. A significant investment project that year was the purchase of new machines (CNC, panel saws and others) from SCM, an Italian machine manufacturer.

In spring 2009 the company was certified according to the ISO 9001 standards. Rauko then started working with clients in Sweden and Denmark. Several projects were completed with new partners.

In 2010 several Norwegian and Netherland companies began working with Rauko.

In 2011 the company acquired land and industrial premises with a total area of 20,000 m2.

Today the company employs 40 persons, and 95% of its finished products are exported mostly to Scandinavia.
